time to get serious...NOT

Okay so after a few months of pondering and considering and asking for answers around and around I have finally decided to change the language of my blog. I got the message maybe even too straightly from a few friends and I have finally decided to do it :) WOOP! WOOP! This will be a first for me but terribly excited and waiting to get this going.

I won't be translating my previous posts into English but I will start posting in the "correct" language from now on :) The only exceptions will be the two recipes I've posted this week onto my blog. Those will change into the English language shortly.

So this has been physically a challenging week. Which is a good thing. I've trained for the last week and a half almost non-stop as I have taught classes, done my own training and attended Les Mills Quarterly Workshops. Today I finally have a day off :) WOAH! Which means good food with good company and just relaxing. I can tell ya that the new LMI BodyPump 82 not a piece of cake even for an instructor! ;)

But some times you just need to push push push, or? I have to say that I'm happy I will be on holiday in a weeks time and will be spending it in the middle of Finland by a lake in a canoe! (which is a first for me) and just enjoying the scenery.

Next week will also be physically demanding as I'm being part of two different events on monday Jun 11th and need to do extra trainings for them :) But it's all worth it :) To see the event participants faces afterwards is just so rewarding. The enthusiasm and pure joy gives me such a surge of energy that I will be able to push myself a bit further next week (and the holiday after the events won't do any harm either)

So let's see what happens next week! I'll keep you posted. And like the blog says: This could be your day one. Are you willing to take it?

lunch with a twist

This blog is looking like a foodie blog.......After several requests here's the recipe for the lunch pie
Crust
2 small baked and pealed sweet potatoes
250g rahkaa
~3dl flour
2tblsp oil
salt/pepper/paprika powder as much as you wish

Filling
300g mixed mushroom (I used chanterelles and other self picked forest mushroom)
100g spinach leaves (I used frozen)
100g green beans (I used frozen)
2 red onions
2,5dl milk (any kind will do. I used semi-skimmed)
1 egg
organic vegetable broth cube (a german brand called Cenovis)
salta and pepper to taste

Instructions
Mix the crust ingredients together and kneal into a dough. The dough will be quite soft so you need to tap it into a pie tin. Fry all veggies on a frying pan. Season with salt and pepper. If the mushrooms are mfresh you need to blanch them first before frying. Set a side. In a measuring cup mix the vegetable broth cube with a little hot water and after dissolving mix with the milk. Add an egg.
Lay the fried veggies onto the pie crust and add the milk-egg wash on top. Bake for ~30-40 minutes at 200°C.

The crust will stay really soft even after baking. Don't be alarmed! But it will be super tasty :)

As you can see the recipe has a lot of veggies and carbs in it. For me to be able to get enough protein with the meal I'll be eating some meat with the pie. You could also add minced meat onto the recipe and get all your parts of your meal in one go.

My workouts have been going well. YEAH! With my training buddy Laura we've been able to get really intensive workouts. My body is trying to tell me that yesterdays upper body workout was a tough one and tonight BodyCombat awaits! AUTCHS!

Waiting for tomorrow!

How has your summer started?

The perfect brownie

Okay so I did it! And with a first go! I finally got to try a protein brownie recipe and it was DE-LISH! What do you think about the pic? Not so nice....I'll try to improve the next time.

And now for the recipe. For a delicious Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownie you'll need:

1dl milkprotein isolate powder (I used from Fast a protein powder called Prode90)
0,5dl soyprotein powder (I used from Fast a protein powder called Soya90)
1tblsp cocoa powder
1tblsp corn starch
2tsp baking powder
1,5tblsp beanut butter
1tblsp sweetner ( I used natrium-xylamat but any will do)
As much water as needed to form a thick cake like batter. (if you add too much water the batter will raise a lot during baking but won't cook through)

Mix everything in a microwave safe bowl. I recommend a china bowl. Bake for ~5min in a microwave with full power. Enjoy! The pic has a strawberry melba on top. Which is basically just strained strawberries mixed with bit of honey.

I highly recommend!
